Things to Come

2011 has been a great year, with some gorgeous additions to Shop-FMSeymour.
We were proud to be able to add a selection of our own hand-made creations, a certified 100% organic baby range by the Organic Quilt Company in Canada, a small selection of art and craft products, including Stockmar and Lyra crayons, paints and modelling wax and books for both children and adults.

During the course of 2012, we plan on broadening our organic ranges and expanding our product lines to include more art and craft products, craft making kits, books, Steiner homeschooling resources, etc.

We are currently sourcing organic and eco freindly art, craft, fabrics and materials to make this happen.

For our Shop-FMSeymour Creations we currently use 100% designer print cotton fabric, but once our fabric supply has run out, we will be changing this to use organic fabrics and cottons instead.

Wednesday's Wonderful World of Waldorf

This gorgeous gnome was needle felted by Ruth McCarthy for the Class Spring Table
Isn't he handsome?

The Gnome

Deep down he goes, the little gnome
Deep down into his earthy home.
Deep down among the roots he lives;
Such help to all the plants he gives.

He helps the seed to split its skin;
He helps the roots to settle in;
He helps the shoots to stand upright
And grow to reach the warm sunlight.

Sometimes he comes above the ground
Sometimes his footprints can be found;
Sometimes, before the moon is up,
He drinks the dew from bluebell cups.

Wednesday's Wonderful World of Waldorf

Welcome to
Wednesday's Wonderful World of Waldorf.

It's time for some Watercolour painting, using the watercolour wet-on-wet painting technique,
where you sponge or soak the paper with water, and paint directly onto it allowing the colours to merge, mix and weave together.

Some Poems to Inspire

Blue was so happy in the Sky
And the Sun was so warm with Spring
They reached down to touch the Earth
And as they did they noticed each other
They joined hands to dance
Giving a bit of themselves, one to the other
And where they touched
Green appeared.

The Sun & Sky awoke the next day
And to their surprise
Red appeared
The Blooming of the Flowers

Red mixed with yellow and blue
to make the Colours of Spring

We'll see you again next Wednesday in Waldorf World.
